Produced a series of commentaries on sociological topics for six Minnesota and Wisconsin Public Radio stations in 1989 and 1990.

Supervised mentally ill adolescent and adult residents first as a technician and later as a “re-entry facilitator” at Brainerd State Hospital in 1975-77.

Supervised juvenile delinquent residents at "Storefront" community residential center/classroom for Brainerd State Hospital in 1975-77.

Performed social worker duties in 1974 for Wyandotte County Social Services in Kansas City, Kansas through a social service leadership training program.
